Peachtree City has recently updated its Motorized Cart Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1241), specifically changing where registration decals must be displayed on golf carts. This change is intended to improve visibility for law enforcement and public safety.
New Decal Placement Requirements
Under the revised ordinance, golf cart owners are now required to move away from side-placement decals in favor of front and rear visibility:
Front and Rear Affixation: Decals must be affixed to both the front and the rear of the cart (one on each end).
Visibility Standards: The decals must be placed in a location that is unobstructed, clearly legible, and plainly visible at all times.
Physical Changes: To accommodate different cart models, the new decals will be half the height of previous versions, making them easier to fit on bumpers or bodies, though the identification numbers will remain the same size.
